Information

DVA Mammut Barryvox

It's the Barryvox® avalanche transceiver you've known for a long time: efficient with over 45 years' experience, produced and developed entirely in Switzerland, something you can rely on. The new generation Barryvox® from Mammut adds major performance enhancements.

The new Barryvox® is not only a device with one of the widest reception bandwidths, but also one of the widest, safest search bands on the market. Where theMammut® avalanche transceiver really stands out is its intuitive operation, so you can use it when you need to. Optimum performance and simple operation can save critical time. Especially under stress.

Benefits :

  • Powerful
  • Easy to use: intuitive
  • 3 antennas
  • 70 m range

Technical features :

  • Powerful search: If you measure an avalanche transceiver on its performance, there's one value that stands out: search bandwidth. Larger circular receiver bandwidths mean that buried transmitters are detected more quickly, search bands are wider, search paths on the avalanche dump are shorter and victims are found more quickly. With a search bandwidth of 70 meters (digital mode) and a reliable reception bandwidth of up to 70 meters, Barryvox® is one of the world's best.
  • Easy handling: High performance only generates benefits if the user can access them in the simplest possible way. Mammut has therefore carried out a complete overhaul of the Barryvox®'s operation, from front to back. From the easy-to-read display to buttons that can be operated even when wearing gloves, an impact-resistant housing, intuitive acoustic search tips and a revolutionary visual interface, Barryvox® shows that powerful performance doesn't have to be complicated. Because we know: only an easy-to-use avalanche transceiver will save lives in an emergency.
  • Speed of rescue: There are many ways to find someone buried under an avalanche, and the marking function means you don't have to use the 3-circle method , which is difficult to learn, time-consuming and hard to interpret. Once you've found and marked the first person, Barryvox® guides you to the next. While your teammate starts digging into the first buried subject, you're already on your way to the second.
  • Huge evolution: The new Barryvox® generation continues the impeccable reliability that characterized earlier avalanche transceivers (ATDs). At the same time, we have greatly enhanced its application possibilities and performance. As a result, this new generation combines high-performance research with intuitive operation to find avalanche victims quickly, easily and reliably.
  • Intuitive operation: The new Barryvox® is not only the device with one of the longest reception ranges and widest, most reliable search bands on the market. What really sets the Mammut avalanche transceiver apart is its intuitive operation. Because as we all know, it's only when you can use your device with your eyes closed, or almost, that you can truly succeed in exploiting its performance in an emergency.
