JAY AND JAYNE BY EDELRID: THE NEW GENERATION OF MULTI-PURPOSE HARNESSES

If you're looking for a harness that's equally at home on long routes, indoor climbing, via ferrata or glacier climbing, look no further. The JAY (mixed) and JAYNE (specifically designed for women's morphologies) models return in 2025 in a completely revamped fourth generation. True to its reputation, Edelrid has succeeded in combining versatility, comfort and durability, while further refining the details.

Comfort, even in extended suspension

The most striking new feature? The butterfly shape of the waistband, which significantly improves load distribution and suspension comfort. This ergonomic design limits pressure points, ideal for long climbing sessions or long belays.
Added to this is Center Fit technology, which allows the belt padding to slide for a perfectly centered fit over the trigger guard. The result: a stable, well-positioned harness that's comfortable even when standing or moving.

Technical details that make all the difference

Edelrid has thought of everything:

- Fully openable Slide Block buckles on the waistband and thighs for putting on the harness even with skis or crampons.
- Flexible, parallel tie-in points, combined with an enlarged trigger guard for easier handling.
- Wider center ring, for greater comfort when belaying.
- Red wear indicator integrated into critical straps, for quick visual check of harness condition.
- Five gear loops, two rocker loops, one chalk bag loop.

And of course, JAY and JAYNE are always bluesign® certified, further proof of the German brand's commitment to the environment.

The right fit for every climber

The JAY is perfect for those with a close fit between waist and hips, while the JAYNE is specifically adapted to women's morphologies, with a narrower waistband and longer leg straps. Note: strap width increases with size for optimum fit, from XS to XL.

The verdict?

With this new version, Edelrid has created a complete, reliable harness that's ready for anything, whether you're climbing a rind, exploring an alpine ridge or tackling a big route. For climbers looking for a harness capable of accompanying them everywhere without compromising on comfort, JAY and JAYNE are first-rate choices.

ACE BY EDELRID: THE ULTRALIGHT HARNESS THAT PUSHES THE LIMITS

When every gram counts, EDELRID's ACE harness becomes an essential ally. Designed for demanding climbers looking to combine lightness, freedom of movement and performance, it's back in an even more accomplished version. Whether on long routes, on ice or in technical mountaineering, theACE is never out of sight, never out of mind.

Light, compact... but ultra-strong

The ACE philosophy can be summed up in one word: minimalism. Thanks to in-depth work on materials - thinner straps, reinforced waistbelt - this new version loses a few more grams while gaining in robustness. Only 274 g in size M: it couldn't be more discreet.
And yet, despite this featherweight, the ACE provides exceptional support even in suspension, thanks to an ergonomic butterfly-shaped waistband that distributes the load perfectly without compressing.

3D-Vent Lite technology: ingenuity for comfort

At the heart of the design is 3D-Vent Lite technology. This unique construction uses PES and Dyneema® webbing to distribute forces across the entire width of the waistband and leg straps, without creating extra bulk. The single-fiber yarn carrier materials provide effective ventilation, ideal for long days on the wall or approaches in direct sunlight.
At the same time, the robust inner mesh and hard-wearing outer coating guarantee maximum durability, even under intensive use.

Designed to go far... and hard

Every detail of the ACE harness is designed for efficiency:

-
Fully openable waistbelt with practical, secure aluminum Slide Block buckle.
- Parallel tie-in points with abrasion-proof textile protection (HMPE + polyamide).
- Central Dyneema® ring, wrapped for longevity.
- Slim round elastic butt straps: comfort, mobility, natural fit.

The harness adapts to all sizes (XS to L), with an evolving strap width to guarantee optimum support, whatever the morphology.

Optimized space for gear

Despite its compactness, the ACE harness doesn't forget the essentials:
- 5 asymmetrical gear loops, including two smaller ones at the back (in sizes XS and S).
- 2 ice axe loops.
- Red wear indicator in the waistbelt, so you can climb with confidence.

The verdict: pure performance, zero compromise

With the ACE, EDELRID offers a top-of-the-range, ultralight harness for those who aim for performance without neglecting safety or comfort. It's forgettable on the move, reliable in suspension and resistant to the harshest treatment.
Whether you're dreaming of big limestone walls, committed ice climbing or technical lines at altitude, the ACE harness is ready to follow you all the way.

Mélissa Le Nevé

Mélissa Le Nevé's story reflects the heart of a climber who has found her place on the exceptional and challenging terrain of Céüse, one of France's most emblematic climbing destinations. Having grown up in Bordeaux, she discovered climbing at the age of 17, despite the lack of climbing opportunities in the region. Determined to pursue her passion, she moved to Aix-en-Provence at the age of 20, where she was able to lead a climbing-centred life during her summer vacations. Every year, she spends months camping at Céüse, immersed in its unique cliffs, which demand not only physical strength, but also deep mental commitment. The Céüse routes have pushed her out of her comfort zone, which she has seen as an essential part of her development as a climber.
