Development is always focused on the customer and his individual needs. Fritschi's Vipec Evo 12 and Tecton 12 bindings are systems based on lightweight construction combining maximum safety, easy, ergonomic walking, and precise ski control and downhill agility. All parts are manufactured in Switzerland and assembled in Reichenbach (canton of Bern) to form a high-quality product. After assembly, each binding undergoes meticulous quality control, including a functional check.
The result of the combination of the new Vipec Evo 12 toe-pin and the revolutionary heel retainer with a jaw-assisted downward retention system, it achieves an incredible minimum weight of just 550 g (unit without ski stop) and offers even more power and safety. Equipped with the Safety Pin System, the Tecton 12 makes the leap to free rando.
Three-dimensional force transfer
Easy, precise control of even wide skis. At the rear, where the major forces occur, the Tecton 12 remains as stable and rigid as an alpine ski binding, transferring forces directly and without loss between boot and ski.
Downward retention system
No gaps
Direct contact between boot, binding and ski. The retaining system provided by the clamp places the sole of the boot on the base plate in direct contact with the ski, ensuring direct transfer of forces at all times.
Heel clamp with Power Rail
As if in a vice
The boot remains immobile. An absolute novelty: the Power Rail housed in the heel lock jaw acts on the insert, immobilizing the boot in the center and preventing loss of force due to lateral movements.
Static construction
Continuous transfer
The heel retainer remains stable. The heel unit retains its lateral stability when descending. Unlike other pin bindings, force transfer is not interrupted by rotational movements of the heel unit.
Front-rear release with 9 mm dynamic travel
Comfortable release
Compensation for tensile forces. As with alpine ski bindings, front release occurs at the set DIN value via the heel clamp with a dynamic stroke of 9 mm. The return force of the spring prevents unintentional release and compensates for the high tensile forces applied to the leg in the event of a forward fall.
