Millet a specialist in outdoor sports andmountaineering, has presented us with a trail shoe this year: the Alpine Rush. Its special feature is a Michelin sole for excellent grip, particularly on descents.
Available in men's andwomen's versions.
We tested the shoe for over a month on the slopes of Parmelan, Veyrier and Plateau de Beauregard at La Clusaz (in particular) in Haute-Savoie. Outings of less than 1:00 to 3:00 on trails and technical terrain (in the Dolomites) to test the shoe on all types of terrain.
First and foremost, it's a reassuring trail shoe . It's sure to please many a trail runner, especially those who like to do half-walks and half-runs. It's a very comfortable shoe that can be converted into an approach shoe when needed.
Let's come back to one of the main assets of the Alpine Rush its Michelin outsole. The tire brand talks a lot about the adhesion of its tires in all weathers. The trail shoe Alpine Rush trail shoe meets these demanding specifications. Above all, a trail runner wants to be able to rely on the grip of his shoe on the way up or down.
Whether on trails, technical sections or other types of terrain, it's a privileged asset that enables us to make good descents. The shoe therefore enables us to swallow 1,000 / 1,500 m of ascent and descent without a care in the world.
L'Alpine Rush has a precise fit to give you maximum precision, even on demanding terrain and in full descent.
Like many trail shoes, it's also breathable, which is especially pleasant when you're clocking up the kilometers on a hot day.
Millet's Alpine Rush and in particular its Michelin outsole . This 320-gram shoe is reassuring and comfortable in any situation.
For those looking for something lighter, we'll have to wait until 2018 with the Alpine Rush light (see presentation) weighing around 250 grams.
