The Meindl Island MFS Active GTX are a must-have reference for long-distance hikers. Designed for men in search of performance, these shoes are perfect for long treks, difficult terrain and snowshoeing outings.

Thanks to their oiled nubuck leather upper and GORE-TEX® membrane, they offer total waterproofing, enabling year-round use in all weather conditions. Their MFS (Memory Foam System) adapts to the shape of the foot, guaranteeing personalized comfort and optimum support. The memory foam moulds to the shape of the foot under the effect of body heat, avoiding any pinching or pressure.

In terms of grip, the Multigrip® Vibram® outsole offers enhanced stability on rocky, muddy or slippery terrain. Designed in two parts, this sole combines flexibility and resistance for optimum freedom of movement with excellent grip.

Chaussures absolument polyvalente, plus résistante et plus imperméable que ses concurrentes allemandes. Les GTX Tibet chez Lowa, par exemple, ont une semelle qui se décolle avec le temps et l'étanchéité est décevante. Je reviens à mes premiers amours : les Meindl pour la rando et les Sportiva pour l'alpinisme.
