As Alpinstore's mountaineering expert, I had the opportunity to test the Ortovox 3L Deep Shell Jacket M on several mountain outings. This jacket is distinguished by its DERMIZAX® NX membrane, offering waterproofing of at least 20,000 mm and breathability of up to 32,000 g/m²/24h, guaranteeing effective protection against the elements while wicking away body moisture.

Merino wool inserts on the chin and chest provide additional comfort, naturally regulating moisture and temperature. The double-adjustable storm hood fits perfectly, offering optimum protection without obstructing vision.

The jacket features two spacious front pockets, accessible even with a harness, and an inner merino mesh pocket for securing items such as a phone or keys. Zippered ventilation zones under the arms let you modulate ventilation during intense exertion.

In short, the Ortovox 3L Deep Shell Jacket M is a versatile hardshell jacket, offering reliable protection and appreciable comfort for demanding mountaineers and ski tourers.
