1 - The Bauges - The Dent de Rossanaz

Starting from the village of Aillon-le-Vieux, you'll reach the Dent de Rossanaz after a 900m ascent and a 7-hour walk. At 1890m, the view is sublime and well-deserved. To get up there, it's easy: just pass through the Combe du Cheval and follow the signs to Mont Colombier.

2 - Beaufortin - Mont Rosset

Mont Rosset is renowned for its superb snowshoeing and skiing. Along the way, you'll have the privilege of keeping an eye on the Pierra Menta. To reach the 2449m summit, you'll need to plan a full day! We're talking about 1000 m of ascent here, but a fairly easy itinerary. The starting point is the Pars parking lot, above the Côte d'Aime.

3 - Vanoise - Le Dos de Crêt Voland

Continuing with the easy hikes, the Dos de Crêt Voland, with just 500m of ascent, can be completed in just 4 hours, arriving at 2092m. Up there, you'll enjoy a panoramic view of the whole Massif de la Valoise. Just magnificent!

4 - Alpes grées - Hameau de l'Ecot

For lovers of old villages and unique scenery, the Hameau de l'Ecot hike is for you! All you need is a 3-hour walk and a short climb to reach the far end of the Haute-Maurienne, where you'll find a charming old mountain village in a sumptuous setting.

5 - Belledonne - Descente du Carrelet

From the Col du Glandon, you can follow an extraordinary snowshoeing itinerary that is highly accessible. It's an easy hike with no elevation gain. It takes just 5 hours to reach 2300 m, beneath the impressive Aiguilles de l'Argentière.

6 - Les Arves - Foot of the Aiguilles d'Arves

If you want to get close to the famous Aiguilles d'Arves and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, this hike is perfect. At around 2000 m, this easy hike offers 400 m of ascent, and takes around 4 hours to complete.

7 - Bornes, Aravis - Montagne de Sulens

This hike is accessible from the Col de Plan Bois near the village of Manigod, and takes around 4 hours. It is classified as an easy hike, with a vertical drop of 550m. The summit offers fabulous views of the Aravis combes.

8 - Mont-Blanc

Glacier des Bossons loop

This 4km snowshoe hike winds its way through a larch forest, ending with a splendid view of the Bossons glacier. It takes 2 hours to complete, with a total ascent of 370 m. This hike is accessible from the Mont Blanc tunnel parking lot.

Le Prarion

Looking for panoramic views of the entire MONT BLANC chain, the Aiguilles Rouges, the Massif des Fiz and the Aravis mountains? Then this snowshoe hike is for you! The route is of medium difficulty, and will take you around 4 hours to cover 7 km with 840 m of ascent. The trail starts at "Les Toiles" in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. Good hiking poles are recommended for this ascent!

9 - Val d'Arly - Megève

In the heights above Megève, there's a beautiful snowshoe trail winding its way between the Bois d'Hermance and the Coule. This itinerary through pine forests and clearings takes around 3 hours to complete, with a cumulative vertical drop of 400 m.

10 - Cirque du Fer à Cheval

Classified as a Grand Site de France, this must-see site in Haute-Savoie is ideal for snowshoeing. In addition to the incredible scenery, you may be lucky enough to come across ibexes along the way.
