Bollé ski helmet technologies

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System): Bollé incorporates MIPS technology into several of its helmets. This advanced system reduces the rotational forces transmitted to the brain during an oblique impact, thus increasing protection against head trauma.

AVID Progressive EPS: This technology is based on variable-density foam that effectively absorbs both low- and high-intensity impacts. It guarantees optimum protection while reducing the helmet's weight.

Adjustable ventilation: Bollé helmets feature advanced ventilation systems with adjustable openings. This allows air flow to be controlled for comfort in all weather conditions.

Eco-design: Committed to a sustainable approach, the brand uses recycled materials for the inner and outer shells of its helmets. This initiative is part of the "React for Good" program, aimed at reducing the ecological footprint of products.

Boa® fit: Some models, like the V-RYFT PURE, feature the Boa® fit system. It guarantees a precise, personalized fit for unrivalled stability and comfort.

3D earpieces: Three-dimensional earpieces enhance hearing while maintaining optimal thermal comfort, providing a safe and comfortable experience.

Photochromic lenses

Bollé ski masks, such as those equipped with the Phantom screen, use photochromic lenses that automatically adapt to variations in luminosity (categories 1 to 3). This guarantees optimum visibility in all conditions.

A single solution for all conditions: Phantom photochromic technology

Whatever the weather conditions - blue skies, clouds, snow or fog - a single Phantom ski mask is all you need for optimum visibility and unrivalled comfort. Whether you're a recreational skier or a seasoned athlete, Phantom photochromic goggles let you reach new heights of visual acuity and performance.

Developed by Bollé, Phantom technology pushes the limits of photochromic goggles. Based on NXT® material, these innovative lenses combine exceptional optical clarity, light weight and high impact resistance. They cover a broad spectrum of visible light transmission and reach 70% of their full activation in just 20 seconds.

Phantom lenses also feature LTS (Low Temperature Sensitivity) technology, which ensures smooth, rapid activation even in extreme conditions, with an operating range from -10°C to 20°C.

To take things a step further, Bollé has added a semi-polarized film to its Phantom lenses, giving rise to Phantom+. This film offers up to 50% partial polarization, reducing annoying reflections and significantly improving contrast. This enables precise reading of the terrain, particularly for differentiating between fresh snow and icy areas.

What are the advantages of photochromic ski goggles?

Phantom photochromic ski goggles offer numerous advantages for both amateur and professional skiers:

  • Adaptability: Exceptional responsiveness to changing light conditions, enabling perfect vision without having to change goggles.
  • Visual comfort: reduced glare for constant visual comfort all day long.
  • UV protection: Maximum protection against 100% of harmful UV rays (UVA and UVB), with filtration indices ranging from 1 to 4.
  • Improved contrast: The polarization of Phantom+ lenses reduces eye fatigue and improves contrast on the slopes, ideal for identifying differences in texture and color on snow.

Polarization: Some Bollé lenses are polarized to reduce glare caused by light reflecting off snow. This improves contrast and visual precision, ideal for safe descents.

Anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings: All masks feature high-performance coatings to prevent fogging and extend screen life, even under intense use.

Integrated ventilation: Bollé masks feature a strategic ventilation system that prevents fogging while ensuring thermal comfort, essential in cold environments.

Helmet compatibility: The masks are designed to integrate perfectly with Bollé ski helmets, ensuring optimal fit and protection from the elements.

Biosourced frames: In an eco-design approach, mask frames are made from castor oil, reducing the use of traditional plastics while maintaining high durability.
