Since August, we've had the chance to test the new Sky Pro from Dynafit. This is a trail running shoe designed for high-mountain runners. It's designed for running on snow, while retaining excellent grip on unstable and wet terrain.
Tested on all types of terrain
With the Dynafit Sky Pro, we've covered over 100 kilometers on different types of terrain:
- Snowy, steep terrain above the Veny Valley in Italy, on the slopes of Monte Bianco
- Downhill on stony, damp terrain on the slopes of Parmelan in Haute Savoie,
- Steep high-mountain terrain at the foot of the Vanoise glaciers above Bonneval sur Arc.
The Sky Pro has great grip
What we particularly liked was the shoe's grip, whatever the type of terrain. We deliberately went out on steep terrain, and we really appreciated the grip of this Vibram boot. It's easy to let off the gas, so you can go downhill without fear of falling.
We really appreciate the shoe 's comfort, especially when climbing: you can press down easily, you feel at ease and the climb is smooth and safe.
The Sky Pro is equipped with a waterproof gaiter that's perfect for running on muddy or snowy terrain, or crossing streams, while keeping your feet dry.
It's a lightweight shoe weighing just 280 grams. Despite its weight, it's a protective shoe against the elements. Which makes it very comfortable.
The Sky Pro is equipped with a fast, precise lacing system that adapts to the shape of your foot and the tightness you want. It's very easy to use.
The Dynafit Sky Pro is built to last. After a good hundred kilometers, the sole shows no signs of fatigue.
Available from February 2020 at Alpinstore for 249€.
