Whether you're a fan of running or on the entry lists for theUTMB, the Diagonale des fous, the échappée belle or the Templiers , for example, you know that equipment is a key factor in success. During the race, it can be very hot or very cold, even in the middle of summer! That's why, whatever the conditions, it's essential to have quality equipment. It has to be able to protect you from heat as well as cold, rain, hail or snow. Often, the organizer imposes a list of mandatory equipment.


DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO MAKE YOUR RACE AS ENJOYABLE AS POSSIBLE.

  • Riders must carry all mandatory equipment at all times, otherwise they may be penalized.
  • The rider must submit to controls during the race.
  • The rider must adapt his equipment by testing it in a variety of conditions.
  • The rider must have equipment to wait for help in the event of an incident.
  • The runner must present his compulsory equipment in order to access his race number.
  • Runners must wear clothing that provides good protection in all conditions.
  • Runners must wear clothing that fits properly and has not been altered since leaving the factory.
  • All equipment must be carried in a marked, non-exchangeable backpack.

FOR YOUR SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE, THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT IS MANDATORY:

Equipment :

- Personal cup 15cl minimum (no water bottles or flasks)
- 2 headlamps (200 lumens minimum): brighten your spirit with all our our headlamp models

- Cell phone
- Whistle
- Adhesive elastic bandage/strapping
- Survival blanket (minimum 1.40mmx2m)


Food/Hydration :

- 1L minimum water supply
- Food supply

Clothing:

- Cap
- Cap
- Jacket with hood and waterproof/breathable membrane (minimum 10000k schmerber)
- 2nd warm layer with long sleeves, minimum 180g
-3rd warm layer (fleece or compressible down jacket) in case of extreme cold
- Warm, waterproof gloves or waterproof over-gloves
- Long-leg running pants/tights
- Waterproof overtrousers


Please note that if runners decide to start the race with poles, they must keep them on until the finish line. It is forbidden to start without poles and then pick them up along the way.
