Alois Rohrmoser founded Atomic in 1955 in the Austrian Alps. The first 40 pairs of skis were hand-cut in his workshop from local wood. In just two years, production increased to over 2,000 pairs. Today, Atomic is headquartered just 5 kilometers from his birthplace. The brand quickly established itself on the market thanks to its outstanding performance in elite competitions such as the World Cup and the Freeride World Tour. Legends such as Hermann Maier and Mikaela Shiffrin have chosen Atomic to achieve their sporting ambitions. Every Atomic product has been designed to deliver optimum performance whatever your level or terrain.
Brands are now aware of their environmental impact, especially in an industry as sensitive as skiing. Atomic takes this responsibility very seriously by having an in-depth knowledge of its supply chain in order to reduce its ecological footprint. The company is currently conducting environmental impact studies to improve its sustainable practices, while continuing to innovate to deliver exceptional performance.
