Vola: A story that began in 1935

In 1935, the TOUSSAINT company began manufacturing ski wax in Colmar, under the domain name Parsenn, the name of the longest ski run in the world, and with a graphic identity that has remained unchanged ever since: a chamois in a triangle.

The company's move to Passy was precipitated by the outbreak of the Second World War in France, but it survived and resumed wax production in 1941.

Between 1960 and the end of 1980, Parsen gave way to the Vola domain name , more comprehensible and legible for the international market. They also increased their production considerably, firstly thanks to the arrival of polyethylene ski soles, which required regular waxing, and then thanks to the links forged with Conquest, the Japanese brand. It was Conquest that enabled Vola to pass the symbolic milestone of one million 24-gram loaves of wax in a single year.

Restructuring and business development

Following these successes, which launched the company, a restructuring was organized in 1995 and the association of Vola and SOFT CONTROL, a timing equipment company, was formalized. This was the company's first step towards expansion. In 2006, Vola's first sponsored athlete won a gold medal in the downhill event at the Olympic Games, confirming the company's credibility.

Almost 100 years after its creation, Vola is present in 31 different countries and employs 26 people. It now markets its own brand of ski helmets, goggles and poles, and imports brands such as KV+ and SPM into France.
