The origins of the brand

Tentree was founded in Canada in 2012 by Kalen Emsley and David Luba, but the company's reforestation activities are not limited to North America. Sensitive to the environment, they wanted to create a line of ethical, quality outdoor clothing.

The ingenious idea was to plant ten trees for every item purchased.

Initially set up in the basement of their garage, the small business met with dazzling success. By 2019, the company will have planted 30 million trees. Notably in South America, India, Nepal and Africa. Since the founders of Tentree cannot personally plant every tree, they collaborate with non-profit organizations in a multitude of countries.
The challenge of reconciling the textile industry and ecology was a successful one!
