Evoc: a history of protection
While exploring spectacular locations and exceptional downhill slopes, the founders of Evoc realized that the equipment available on the market did not meet their needs. To fill this gap, they began designing and producing their own high-end equipment, with useful and sophisticated features. While filming for a snowboarding video on the Arlberg, a tragic incident struck Holger Feist, a freerider and product designer. An avalanche caused his injury, which made him realize that a backpack with back protection could have prevented this dangerous situation. This life-changing experience inspired the creation of an innovative backpack with integrated back protection.

The idea of the protective backpack quickly spread to the world of mountain biking, where the risk of falls is high. Holger Feist realized that mountain bike backpacks were neither ergonomic nor adapted to the demands of the sport. After a difficult expedition to Tibet in 2000 with an impractical bag, he returned to Munich determined to create his own protective model. This creative process also gave rise to the first bicycle carrying bag, the BIKE TRAVEL BAG, carefully designed to ensure safe and practical transportation of bicycles.
